The trusty REME 434 has been in service for about 60 years now, and is still in service today. This version with the crane, was extensivley used for lifting heavy loads, mainly vehicle engines, including tanks engines, plus many other tasks! this painting includes the "Penthouse" would have been assigned to Squadron/ Battery LAD sections. The big jobs undertaken by the REME lads would often be paid in kind with a crate of Herforder/Beer. Bluebell was the word used on the Radio when they were required many years ago.
